Barrington Tops State Conservation Area

Closed areas: Annual winter closure of 4WD trails on Barrington Tops
4WD trails on Barrington Tops will be closed to all vehicles from 1 June 2017 to 1 October 2017 for annual seasonal closure. The closed trails are:
  • Barrington trail (south and central)
  • Paddys Ridge trail
  • Butchers Swamp trail
  • Bullock Brush trail
  • Tugalow trail
  • Thunderbolts trail
Trail closures mean there is no vehicle access to the following campgrounds during this period:
  • Little Murray
  • Junction Pools
  • Gummi Falls

Other planned events: 1080 aerial baiting for wild dogs
NPWS, in conjunction with Local Land Services (LLS), will be conducting 1080 aerial baiting for wild dogs. The baiting will take place from Monday 14 until Monday 21 May 2018 in the following parks:
  • Barrington Tops National Park
  • Barrington Tops State Conservation Area
  • Towarri National Park
  • Ben Halls Gap National Park
  • Curracabundi National Park
  • Curracabundi National Park
  • Camerons Gorge State Conservation Area
  • Cedar Brush Nature Reserve
  • Wallabadah National park
  • Woolooma National park
  • Brushy Hill Nature Reserve
