Brisbane Water National Park

Other planned events: 1080 wild dog baiting program
The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting a wild dog ground baiting program in Brisbane Water National Park.
The baiting is expected to occur from Monday 28 May to Friday 27 July 2018 using 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) meat baits and/or meat bait product and/or 1080 CPE ejectors.
This program is run in conjunction with the Cumberland North Wild Dog Management Plan that includes Brisbane Water National Park.
All baiting will be undertaken in accordance with legal requirements under the Pesticides Act 1999. Although not expected, some non-target animals may be affected, particularly domestic dogs. Pet owners must keep the dogs out of the baited area. Domestic dogs are not permitted in the park. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
We suggest that pets and working dogs be restrained to ensure that they don't enter the baiting location during poisoning operations, or that dogs are muzzled if they're required to work in the baiting location during and after the baiting program.
Please call the NPWS Central Coast area office on (02) 4320 4200 or email the office if you'd like to discuss the program or wild dog management in your area.
