Jenolan Karst Conservation Reserve

Other planned events: 1080 fox baiting program
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will be running a 1080 fox baiting program in Jenolan Karst Conservation Reserve and the northern portion of Kanangra-Boyd National Park. The baiting is part of an ongoing program which will begin on Wednesday 14 March 2018 and finish by Monday 6 August 2018.
This program is part of a broader coordinated control program to lessen the impacts of foxes on stock and wildlife. If you'd like to become involved in the cooperative program, please contact the Central Tablelands Local Land Services on (02) 6333 2300.
Domestic pets (including dogs) are not permitted in national parks or reserves. Neighbours and park users are reminded that 1080 baits are lethal to domestic pets. There will be 1080 baiting signs at access points to the baiting areas. In the event of accidental poisoning, seek immediate veterinary assistance.
We suggest that working dogs be restrained to ensure that they don't enter the baiting location during poisoning operations, or muzzle dogs if they're required to work in the baiting location during and after the baiting program.
For further information please contact the NPWS Kanangra area office on (02) 6336 1972.
