Other planned events: 1080 fox baiting program - Shoalhaven area
National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) are conducting a fox control program using 1080 baits in a number of reserves within the Shoalhaven area. This control work is part of the NSW Fox Threat Abatement Plan and Saving our Species conservation program aimed at protecting threatened species in particular shorebirds. Closed areas: Burrill Lake culture heritage walk changes
Some areas around Burrill Lake in Meroo National Park will be closed in 2018. The closures are due to construction and works to improve visitor facilities and recreational opportunities. A new Aboriginal walking trail will be constructed which will use some sections of Burrill Lake Drive. To ensure public safety, these sections of the trail will be closed to public vehicles in 2018 and will be for use by walkers only.
