NPWS will be conducting a helicopter herbicide spraying operation between Monday 14 May and Friday 27 July 2018. The operation involves the spraying of Metsulfuron methyl 600WGis for the control of bitou bush. The spraying will be carried out in the following areas:

The following campgrounds will be temporarily closed to undertake essential maintenance, and to rest sites over the winter season:
Safety alerts: Damaged road bridge along Knob Road
There is a damaged bridge along Knob Road within Myall Lakes National Park. Motorists using this road will need to take extreme caution and obey all warning signage. For further information please contact the Great Lakes area office on (02) 6591 0300.
Closed areas: Crawford River Road - Myall Lakes National Park section
Crawford River Road within Myall Lakes National Park is closed to motor vehicles until further notice due to a collapsed timber bridge which is impassable to vehicles. NPWS apologises for any inconvenience caused to visitors. Penalties apply for non-compliance.
