Wadbilliga National Park

Other planned events: 1080 aerial baiting program
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting an aerial baiting program. Baits containing 1080 (sodium fluroacetate) poison will be deployed for the control of wild dogs and foxes. The program is part of an integrated pest animal control strategy aimed at minimising the impacts of these pests on neighbouring stock and local threatened species.
Aerial baiting will take place from Monday 21 May until Wednesday 30 May 2018 in the following national parks and reserves:
  • Morton National Park
  • Bees Nest Nature Reserve
  • Wadbilliga National Park
  • South East Forest National Park
  • Deua National Park
All baiting locations will be identifiable to the public through signage erected around the baited areas. 1080 poison is lethal to domestic pets. Dogs, cats and other pets and domestic animals are not permitted on NPWS estate.
