Worimi National Park

Closed areas: Worimi Conservation Lands (Stockton Beach) 4WD access and beachfront closure
Some areas of this park are closed due to large and powerful surf conditions and large sections of the beach being impassible due to tidal movements. The closed areas are:
  • Gan Gan 4WD access track
  • Worimi Conservation Lands (Stockton Beach) beachfront 
This closure may be extended and any extension will be posted as soon as possible. Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, please contact the NPWS Nelson Bay area office on (02) 4984 8200 or visit the NSW National Parks safety page for park safety guidelines.

Safety alerts: No driving on the dunes, except for the Recreational Vehicle Area
Drive only on the waterfront, or in the Recreational Vehicle Area (RVA).
  • All dunes between the Lavis Lane and Anna Bay accesses are closed to driving.
  • The RVA, which is located south of the Lavis Lane access, is open for dune driving.
Tide warning: At high tide, sections of the beach may be impassable, plan your trip to travel at low tide. If the beach front is too narrow to pass safely, retrace your route. Do not attempt to bypass around the dunes. It is recommended you do not drive on the beach 2 hours before and after high tide. Visit the Bureau of Meteorology website for further information

Closed areas: Camping at Stockton Beach closed
Camping at Stockton Beach remains closed until further notice - Stockton Bight Camping remains closed while the area continues to recover, following severe winter storms.The beach is still open for people to visit, and there are a large variety of commercial tours available daily.
