Closed areas: Roads closed - prescribed burn
A short-term road closure will be in place on Tuesday 22 May 2018 between 8am and 10pm because a prescribed burn will be underway under the terms of the Yuraygir National Paark Fire Management Strategy.
The closed roads include the northern end of the Candole Forest Road, Through Road and Bosches Waterhole Road. Closure signs will be in place to alert motorists. 
This closure may be extended and any extension will be posted as soon as possible.

Other incidents: Sandon River boat crossing unavailable
The self-service Sandon River boat crossing is currently unavailable due to boat servicing requirements. If you're planning on using Yuraygir Coastal walk, please make your own arrangements to cross the Sandon River. NPWS apologises for any inconvenience.

Other planned events: 1080 fox control baiting program
National Parks and Wildlife Service are conducting an ongoing fox control program using 1080 baiting in coastal areas of Yuraygir National Park. This feral animal control work is part of the NSW Fox Threat Abatement Plan and Saving our Species conservation program aimed at protecting threatened shorebird species. Closed areas: Angourie Back Beach - staircase removed
Walkers on the Yuraygir Coastal Walk are advised that the staircase at the southern end of Angourie Back Beach has been removed due to safety concerns. All walkers should commence the walk via the track at Mara Creek picnic area, as there is no longer access from the beach. Penalties apply for non-compliance.
