Nangar National Park

The site: Nangar National Park has dramatic peaks and ridges which offer scenic views, 4wdriving, birdwatching, bushwalking, camping and picnicking.

Location: The Entrance is 118 km from Bathurst on the Escort Way (Orange – Eugowra Road, also known as Forbes Road), at the intersection with Dripping Rock Rd.

Highlights: Mount Nangar Lookout, Terarra Creek camping and picnic area, Dripping Rock, Mount Murga walking track, Old Homestead and buildings.

Facilities: Terarra Creek campground: toilets, picnic tables, barbecue facilities.

  

Things to do nearby: Visit the Age of Fishes Museum at Canowindra and McFeeter's Motor Museum at Forbes; visit Goobang National Park and the Parkes Radio Telescope.

4wd attractions: Drive to Mount Nangar Lookout, via dripping rock; other roads within the Park. Namami Lane passes by the southern boundary of Nangar NP and winds its way across country to Cargo then Edinboro Road will take you into Mt Canobolas State Forest with Mount Canobolas at 1397 metres with great views.
